Dressing whitewall tires

Do you have any advice for dressing whitewall tires without getting black streaks or smudge marks on white section?. Even though they are a dying trend from the days of yesteryear they do look great on my older buick and plan to use them as long as I own this car. I have tried a few different methods but it requires more finesse than regular tires to avoid streaks . I bought some mckees 37 tire gel which is white in color so I am hoping this may help. I can't try right now as they are off my vehicle for the winter but will go back on in about another month. Do you have a foolproof method or product for dressing whitewalls without black streaks or smudges. I love the look of dressed tires but hate the streaks on whitewalls.
 
I'm a Buick collector and all of my show cars have white wall tires. They are a PITA to keep clean and dressed but when they are they look great on classic cars.

The best product I have found for cleaning the white rubber on my tires is Griots Rubber Prep:

This is a solvent, so best not to use it frequently but I've tried many different rubber cleaning products (and been disappointed by most) and this one works the best.

For maintaining your whitewalls after you have them clean, I've found a couple of all-in-one products that work really well.

Back in the days when I owned a Cadillac with whitewalls, I would clean them with Bleche White and a stiff brush, and follow it up with Armor All Tire Foam. You're never wiping in the tire foam so it's impossible to leave black streaks in the whitewalls.

Magic Eraser also gets whitewalls clean. So does Shout foaming cleaner.

Lacquer thinner on white walls is a little kept secret.works amazingly awesome and there is no product that can match the effectiveness. Repeated uses don't harm the tire.you should apply once a year then convert to a whitewall cleaner.
 
Sonax tire gel is great.Nice and thick with a awesome shine that can withstand rain.just keep off the whitewalls.
