DSLR pics

Looks like you have the camera dialled in already! Car looks good! I will have to get a good camera one day

I really like it. I'm not that good with it, but the camera is fairly forgiving. I highly recommend it.

Take lots of pics and learn to use other settings on the camera, much more fun to take it off automatic.

I had it on manual, I just don't know much about photography. I will check out that thread, thanks!

That link Zach offered up is a good one. Car looks great BTW.

Thank you. I checked out the link, there is a lot if good info there. Thanks for posting it

If you ever need any tips, suggestions or help with your photography, feel free to PM. I trained with a guy that was a photographer for 30+ years, and now have my own photography business.

You made the first big step....choosing a Nikon over a canon! :D:p

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing. The Nikon was just so much better in every way.

That photoshoot location you chose will get your car dirty again. Nice pics and enjoy your Nikon. I "had" the same camera for 2 weeks, until I went to the zoo with my kids and dropped it :( . I will get a replacement one soon.

I've got an additional insurance policy that covers ALL of my camera gear against any loss, accidents, theft, etc... No deductible... Full replacement for MSRP value even though I purchase most of my gear used. It's a personal article policy that is an addition to my homeowners insurance - I highly recommend looking into it. Very affordable too.

Nice, I'm hoping Santa will be nice and bring me a camera this year!

I have renters insurance through State Farm that has a very similar protection for personal property. You have to purchase computer coverage seperate though.

Haha, it did. I brought a bottle of waterless wash and did a quick wipedown to get the images I liked.

I bought one a few months ago after having a Minolta X700 35mm for years. The Nikon has worked flawlessly.

If you have a DSLR, then start shooting RAW. It gives you a lot more flexibility to fix white balance and other issues. With a good DLSR, you can under expose even when shooting in tough situations and fix it in post processing.

To add to what bunky suggested, ill suggest you get a copy of Nikon Capture NX 2. Amazing software to manipulate the Nikon NEF files. Pair it with Photoshop and you're set.
