Dull Tail Light Tint... Anything I Can Do?

So I have had my tail lights tinted for about 3-4 years now, maybe more. The tint on them has become dull/faded in a majority of the area. It looks like it has a matte finish on it now.

I was wondering if there is anything I can do besides replacing the tint to restore its "shine" or reduce the dullness. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it as it would save me time, money, and a good amount of effort. I was thinking polishing it, but I really don't know how tint reacts to that.

Thank, Connor

You might try something like Plexus Plastic Cleaner and Polish ...

Have you ever tried using that on any sort of tint film? Or know anyone that has? Just wondering where the basis/idea comes from.

Tint film..???

You mean it's something like a plastic film that was put on the tail lights?

I'll just stop in a tinting shop and ask how they would remove tint film from tail lights.

No, I've only used it on things like clear plastic instrument panel gauge lenses. It is one of a few plastic "polishes" that does not contain any abrasives.

Yes tint film. I’m assuming the same film used to tint windows. It’s not hard plastic covers that are made for some cars like mustangs.

I don’t want to remove the tint, just restore it if possible.
