Dumb mistake and caused scratches

Hey all,

I was brushing snow and scraping ice off my car ('02 Hyundai Accent) and caused some rather noticeable scratches on the trunklid and roof. Before winter I threw on two coats of Collinite 845 to protect the finish during the winter months. There's still at least 4-6 weeks left of winter before I can do the spring detail. Will I cause any further damage by not doing anything until then or should I brave the weather, dig out the PC and do a correction ASAP?

I'd just wait. Why freeze your fingers off? It's not like bird caca where it has to come off right now or cause damage.

As long as they are not down to bare metal you will be fine waiting.
