Hi all,

I realize that this is a stupid question, but the instructions for the Uber coating say to apply, wait 1 minute, level with the applicator, wait 1 minute, and then "buff" with a microfiber towel.

Are we actually supposed to "buff" the coating? AFAIK, most other coatings say to simply "level" the coating with the MF towel.

How much buffing are we supposed to do?

I guess I'm afraid of buffing off $130 worth of coating after applying it.

Thanks for any help.

IMO that's just another final leveling step. I don't think I would do the applicator leveling step unless I saw an actual high spot. But that's just me.

You're "buffing" to remove any excess product, that's all. :)

I, well my 11 year old son, buffed my entire car after Uber application. Not because it was needed, but just to make sure I didn't have any high spots. It was light with a super thick and soft MF towel. It wasn't needed, but turned out great and couldn't find any over application to date. Best part he felt part of the team.
