Soooo... I did it, I ordered the tosca and I am pretty excited to use it mostly around the house but especially for the interior of my jeep as well. Is anybody currently using this model? What tips do the pros have so I can avoid making any "oops" with it because it seems to be pretty powerful little machine from the specs!:coolgleam:

Don't use it directly on leather. Cover the attachment with a cotton towel.

Yeah, the leather has seen better days by now but I don't want it to be worse because I got too crazy with a steam cleaner so I'll keep that in mind. I need to do my headliner too and have been reading a lot and will keep the steam moving and probably back off the temp a bit too and use the same method with a microfiber covering the attachment.

I would not do a headliner with a steamer. Maybe someone with some experience will chime in.

Let me ask the following question: Are you cleaning the headliner from stains or planning on deodorizing (neutralizing) odors from the headliner?

I have a Dupray and never use steam on it. you have the remember the headliner is just glued on so to much heat or agitation can cause it to come loose.

Really just need to clean because stains some are grease and most are just random stains deposited by my 2 and 4 yr olds. I knew it was glued but thought if I moved quickly it would be ok but if the steam is that potent ill try a traditional cleaner or apc I just don't want it to become discolored.

The only thing I really ever use on headliners is Folex.

Ok l'll try that I do have some folex actually but didn't think to use it !

I do headliners and the steam+ Apc +Mftowels is one of the best ways to clean a headliner.
I have done a lot of headliners and with the right technique you don´t have any problem at all.

the steam helps a lot to remove like in Paint world would be the Clay Bar. in headliner it does almost the same. just becarfull of not overpassing heat in the same area. move around with it.

Use your Mft with your Apc of choice, I use even simple green, works great!!! dilution I use some 5.1

I have the Carmen Super Inox and use it for headliners all the time. The dupray is only 5% humidity which is very dry steam.

Wrap a microfiber around your triangular tool and go to town ( just dont hold it in one spot to soak the area, keep it moving). All the headliners I have done have been dry in 10-15 mins. If the headliner is old and has obvious issues than I would be cautious.

Use the same concept of the microfiber on the triangular tool for deep cleaning leather as well. Again you are working with dry steam. If you chase with a claen dry microfiber your seat will be dry with one swipe.

Talk to the rep at Dupray and they will tell you it is safe to use on leather and headliners.

Thank you I appreciate the replies l try it and just keep the steam low and moving like suggested.

It worked awesome and my wheels have never been cleaner as well! The floor mats were extremely dirty but look almost new now and the kids left some cool candy stains in the back seat which is all gone now! I'm definitely addicted to steam!

Nice work, I thought about a Tornador but cant justify a LARGE compressor so I am back to looking at steamers.

let me know if you want to rent yours out as Im local :dblthumb2:

I'd like to try the Tornador as well but like you said it needs a compressor with a higher CFM rating which if you don't already own is a big addition to cost along with the tool. I'm very happy with the steam though and I'm not sure ill ever buy a Tornador vs an extractor now that I have a good steam cleaner.

Aahh the power of steam, and all without chemicals. :)

They should make a steam cleaner with the nozzle of the Tornador. Cleaning machine.
