So what is the consensus on durable spray sealants?

What are your favorites?

Not a sealant per say, I like Mother's CMX. Longevity is yet unknown to me

Rupes P808.........decent longevity and very nice gloss.

Meguiars Ultimate Fast Finish. Easy to apply. Easily a month in longevity. Can be purchased locally

Well there are spray on rinse off sealants like 303 and Hydro Blue. Then there are the regular non-rinse ones like Sonax BSD, Blackfire Spray Sealant, McKees 10 minute sealant, Megs Ultimate Fash Finish - all of which I have used extensively and find them all to be excellent.

Tons of good options these days and all provide excellent protection. Granted most require reapplication after a few months - conditions pending - but seeing they take so little effort to apply, not a big issue in my opinion.

In a perfect world, it would be sprayed on via trigger bottle, wiped off, and months of protection. Also, something that didn't require a solvent prep.

Optimum Car Wax
-[Although it’s labeled as a Wax, it
contains both Carnauba Wax and
Sealant-polymers (as such: I call
it a Hybrid Sealant), and it also
contains the all-important UV-A
and UV-B absorbers.]

I also use and enjoy those, as well as Aquawax from Duragloss.

The Sonax BSD is great but would go with the Sonax PNS for more longevity. BSD is actually just a QD then that the longevity from it awesome and water behavior is extreme is great. Sonax PNS and BSD share the same polymers and what I have heard you can call it a ceramic product as it's more nano partical in the chemistry. Seems like both are not so finicky when applyied directly over a polished or deconed paint without a panel prep wipe down. But if you do that you could get around a month more longevity or so from it like most other products that prep is key to longest durability.

I liked the looks that Ultima Paint Guard Plus gave me and it was the old version that was solvent based carriers. If the newer water based UPGP has the same longevity from it and looks. It's a very easy product to use and even more easier to ad an extra layer bi-monthly. With 2 layers I got easy 6 months longevity from it. Used Sonax BSD and another QD as maintance only. But with the water based version it would be easy to just ad an extra layer of it. With the old version was needed to be bone dry when applyied which where a little finicky for me. Even a heavy evening dew made one application of UPGP looking totaly flat water behavior the next wash which where very strange LOL. Got mad and just applyied Gyeon Wet Coat on the car LOL. The Ultima Paint Prep Plus is also a nice non abrasive paint cleaner with a little of the polycharger polymers in it. That both cleaning up the paint great and ad to the longevity of the UPGP. With a little correction from it too even if non abrasive the pad you use if a polishing pad or light cutting pad do some correction on it's own. Great combo and if you like a warmer glow look like almost carnuaba gives you UPGP is a great choice. But be aware of the not extreme water behavior and just good from it. And their mf applicator is top notch and worth to get some extra of these. Then a true wipe on walk away product it's not getting much easier to apply. If you would see some streaking you just use the applicator to wipe it off after an hour or so. It's easy to get in the beginning as you only use so little of the UPGP. I useally took the applicator to the side windows and a short little wipe to see if there where product left. One prime spray on the applicator then 1 spray per panel and 2 on the bigger panels is more than enough. Crosshatch pattern and move on and 10-15 minutes to do a whole car.

It's the ones offered on AGO that I have been useing. But to very good products with 2 different looks and water behaviors.

Are sio2 sealants in the mix? If so I really like cosmic and kamikaze by themselves. Better water behavior and self cleaning than most regular sealants. Both claim up to 6 months.

Their both pretty expensive although I got the 500ml bottle for 100$. will last me 2 years topping monthly. That breaks down to 2.08 per application and definetly doesn’t need monthly toppings. For less money in more basic sio2 toppers I’m loving Shine Supply Clutch. Suppose to last 5-6 on prepped paint. 2-3 if not.

Oh yeah, they're all up for discussion.

I'm just really searching for something I can use with my Option 2 package - Polish + Protect. Which is a single polish step - usually a medium cut, and a sealant.
