Duragloss 111/601

I used it many times on my white Mustang GT. It looks excellent and has the best durability of any combination I ever used.

Arguably the best value of any sealant on the market.

I've used this mix a bunch of times and it is one of the more popular sealant combinations. It has a candy apple look to it and is durable for at least four months (the longest I have ever gone without stripping and trying something else or re-applying). I also like the Duragloss 105/601 combo. The difference in durability will probably favor the 105 slightly. The 105 also has a tad bit more cleaner to it, whereas 111 is pure sealant.

As much as I like these products, I always wondered why Duragloss did not combine their sealant with the bonding agent, thereby saving the customer the need to buy two different products and the trouble of mixing to the 4:1 ratio most people use. The directions say to put down a light coat of 601 and without buffing it off, layer the sealant over it. Once hazed you can buff both off at the same time. Most people, however, find that mixing these together works better and saves a step.

As I said before, I would like to find a product that enhances the sealant with the bonding agent built in. I found just such a product in Detailer's Poli-Coat Paint Sealant. It works very well but is not quite as glossy as the Duragloss set, at least not on my Diamond White paint. But getting back to your question, I think that if you try this Duragloss combination (also give the 105 a shot sometime), you will find it to be easy to apply and buff off, reasonable price and great looks and durability - can't ask for much more than that! PS-wait for Richy and Klasse Act to reply as they are the real experts using this Duragloss combination.

I am going to do a very intense paint correction shortly on my black audi.

steps
1 wash and dry
2 clay wash dry
3 correct with fg400 have different pads for different spots as needed
4 polish if needed with 205 but fg400 does pretty good job on audi black
5 chemical guys ezcreme glaze
6 duragloss 601/111 mixed
7final coat of duragloos 111
this should get me pretty happy what do you guys think

Easy to use
Very good durability
Good price point

Any DG combo will have these 3.

Mixing 601 will allow you to layer or top with something else right away.....no waiting for it to "cure"

DG products simply do what they say they do.

As shortspark said 111 will give that candy type look. Try it and if you don't like that look you can always top it with your favorite nuba for that warmer look.

Give it try and you won't be disappointed.

Personally I would skip the glaze......pick up some DG501 for some deep cleaning before the 111.

You'll be amazed at what 501 will bring out of the paint even after polishing.

Good advice. 501 is an excellent product.

I don't believe I ever used glaze with 111. Probably wouldn't hurt, but don't think it would really make that much of a difference.

so do the 501 after paint correction and before the 601/111 combo right

Yes but mix in some #601 into the #501 though. There's no doubt going to be some dusting from polishing so you might wanna rinse the car down or wash before applying #601/501.

As far as application goes, well since you use so little DG product I prefer applying by hand, its just quicker to do, instead of putting down the machine all the time and besides, you've already done correction anyways, by hand is fine.
