so i did duragloss 601/105 combo about week ago on my silver metallic civic..today i applied 601/111 on one side of the car just to see if there is any difference..my question is will 601 remove the previous layer of 105? if i want to layer 111 should i use 601 again? please let me know..

If a week has passed, just go ahead with the 111. In addition to extended longevity, the benefit of applying 601 is that you can layer immediately rather than waiting for 105 or 501 to cure. When you applied the 111 to the previous side, did you apply the 601 in a separate step or mix the two?
Ever since I learned of the 1:4 mix with 501, 105 or 111 a few years ago, I've never used 601 as a separate step.

i applied 601 first then waited about 10 min before applying 111..so if i were to apply second layer of 111 i dont need 601 am i correct..

Good question and one I've wondered about too. If doing a second layer, should you skip the 601 component as it might remove the initial layer.

I don't think it matters. Personally, I just use 601 bonding agent with the first coat and then layer straight 111 on top. I always did the same thing with Zaino Z-1 and Z-2.

When I contacted DG about this a year or so ago they stated to use 601 every time.
