I have applied Duragloss 265 to my wife's Durango and the rain came. I now have runs under the door handles and mirrors and trim on doors. Does Duragloss 265 need time to cure. The water beading is great and the plastic looks as it should, not faded. What can I do differently to perhaps stop the Duragloss 265 from streaking down the finish

Probably too much product. It's best to buff those kind of dressings down lightly with a microfiber. Plus that will take care of any overspray from that aerosol.

No over spray. I used a white cotton rag and sprayed my finger tip with a small amount, enough to cover the tip. I did not wipe any of the trim or plastic after I applied the Duragloss 265. Did not see ant excess. Do I need to do a final wipe?

Thank you Setec Astronomy and njain2686 for your answers.

No problem, in answer to your original question about curing, I think it's kind of a two pronged thing, part of it is if you leave this kind of trim product "wet" it never seems to really "dry" (which is probably because the main ingredient is a silicone oil emulsion) and the other is that, kind of like with wax residue, there is only a certain amount that will "bond" to the surface, and if you don't buff off the excess, it will get washed off by rain, etc.

This is a fantastic answer :dblthumb2:

Setec Astronomy, thank you for the in depth answer. In the future when I use Duragloss 265, I will wipe once I have all the trim and handles treated. Thank you Sir
