I striped off the old LSP (PNS), wash, clayed, polished and applied the BF sealant, then the Natty's Red. I had read several good reviews about the combo. The BR spray wax was a topper and for places I couldn't wax with machine. This was my second time applying wax with machine and I put it on a little thick. I figured it would just be a little harder to buff out...not the case. From far it looks GREAT but up close the paint is stained red. I tried to remove the excess with a more aggressive pad and some more Natty's (like dissolves like?)...nope. I even tried some P21s paint cleanser...nothing. Suggestions?

Ouch! That's crazier than a wooden leg with a real foot!

Hopefully someone from PB see's this and can help diagnose the problem.

Did you try the P21S with a polishing pad and machine?

Tell me about it.
I didn't try that. I used hand polishing pad.
If all else fails...Menz 400?

Yikes...what an anomaly. No,
this has never happened to me!

•Did you allow the BF Sealant to cure
for eight hours before topping it?
{Did you do the "Fire over Ice" combo?)

•It's as though the Natty's Red
stained the Black Fire product(s)?!?!

•Remedy?
-Polishing just may be the
best removal process...
-time for a "Test Spot".

I let it cure for a couple hours. I read several threads on the sister forum and they commented that you didn't have to wait 12-24hrs. "Blackfire Wet Diamond cures extremely fast in most climates and conditions. It has a proprietary polymer drying powder (which is why you might get a fine dust in some situations on some paints) as wells the Polycharger catalyst. The goal with the sealant was to create a product that is super easy to use and super forgiving of application "errors". "

As I think about the situation, it is behaving like to sealant bonded with the wax.

Agree...time to find time and do some test spots...what a pain.

Question: Do y'all think its ok to drive now, sit out in sun or should I garage it till I get it sorted out.

It's not gonna hurt it to drive it. It will probably wear off on it's own after 3 or 4 washes with a strong highly concentrated shampoo mixture. Perhaps aid it with a little panel spray down of a bug and tar remover(don't let dry on paint) or even a light dilution of Megs APC or similar.

Good Luck.

Natty Red has a history of staining white cars, check the forum archives because this has come up before....

Well I guess that shows that colored waxes can change the color of a car. The folks at Dodo Juice have said this for years. I can't see the pics real well, but does it look that bad? It won't be permanent.

I think there are couple things at play:
(1) the whole paint didn't stain, just areas that it was thick
(2) I wonder if the sealant had not cured all the way.

lesson learned- not everything you read is true, there are a lot of opinions out there and, second, trying to rush to save time, only creates more work.

Put a hairdryer up to the panel and accelerate paint sealer.Had this happen to me on a Nissan pickup.for me the next day it was gone.

Does this accelerate the breakdown of the sealant?

Here's an interesting thought: If the Natty's has stained the sealant, then I could test out some theories on LSP removal i.e. Paintwork Cleanser, Dawn, CG citrus full-strength, IPA....thoughts/suggestions?
