So I recently was one of the lucky 13 people to win a collection of ECO TOUCH products. In return we all said we'd do a review, so this is my first review of one of the 4 four products I received, the ECO TOUCH carpet and upholstery cleaner.
Impressions:
First off I would like to start with the bottle, its very ergonomically designed, fits great in your hand, I like that. Its a quality sprayer, no corners are cut here and I can tell you that when I'm done using this product I will be saving the bottle for future use, kinda falls inline with the whole ECO thing
rops:
The directions are clear and to the point, shake well and spray directly onto the stain, let it sit for a couple minutes and agitate with a brush and blot dry, simple enough but I did things a bit differently, let me explain.
The item being cleaned
My car has carpeted floor mats with ABARTH embroidered onto the mats in red and they get dirty pretty quickly, along with the mats themselves, so I decided to try out the cleaning power of this product on the entire mat, including the embroidering.
My plan of attack
I first sprayed the embroidered lettering first with the setting on the sprayer that's more of a stream, it has 2 settings for spray and 2 for off. I then sprayed the entire mat with the product, enough to cover it and then went over it a little bit more. Having access to a Bissel little green machine I used it but in keeping with the whole ECO thing I filled my tank with hot water and hot water only. At this point the cleaner had been sitting on the floor mats for about 5 minutes, so it had plenty of time to get in there, so now it was time to clean.
I sprayed and scrubbed at the same time with the Bissel and hot water, going up and down and then side to side to get everything covered. I should also say that my mats weren't that bad, except for the embroidered lettering, it was kinda getting dark already. I actually cleaned them a couple weeks ago so I thought I wasn't going to get too much out of the mat, just wanted to clean the lettering really. To my surprise the tank that catches the dirty water was just that, dirty water, it really pulled alot more out of my mats than I thought it would. I didn't even have to use all the water in the tank either. Once I was done with the spraying and scrubbing I then vac'd up all the remaining water and hung them dry for the night.
Conclusion:
I was more than impressed with the cleaning power of this product, keep in mind that its eco friendly too, combined with using just hot water and you've got a product that you don't need to wear gloves to use, something mentioned above the directions on the back on the bottle, so no worries there. I'm not looking forward to cleaning up any messes in my car but IF I do I know I've got a great product to clean it up, ECO TOUCH Carpet and Upholstery:dblthumb2:
Anyone looking for a great cleaner and wanting a safe to use product, THIS is it for sure, thanks for viewing and here's a link to the ECO TOUCH website to view all of their other products:
