2003 Butler University graduate Ed Carpenter is the only owner/driver in the Verizon Indy Car Series, continuing that trend in 2016 by piloting the No. 20 during the oval races.
The 33-year-old finished in the top five of half of the races he competed in in 2014, including a win at Texas Motor Speedway.
For the second year in a row, he captured the coveted pole position for the Indianapolis 500 in 2014. Carpenter resides in Indianapolis with wife Heather their children Makenna, Ryder and Cruz.
