1Z Einszett Cockpit Classic

I asked for a can of this to try on last order, as a fan of Einszett products in general and have generally settled on Einszett Cockpit Premium for interior surfaces.

The product comes in an aerosol canister and application was tested in two forms:

Spray to MF Towel -- I first started by spraying directly onto towel and then wiping surface. What I found is a look similar to Cockpit Premium. It acted more like a duster pulling away dust (likely the towel) and leaving a fresh scent and clean look.

Spray Directly on Interior Panels -- I was worried about any overspray, so hesitant to spray this way. Decided since I was doing glass last this was a valuable test. It was noticable when spraying onto the black surfaces (not oily but wet looking) and buffing immediately took on a more immense clean look.
It clearly was clean, but brighter. The look was pleasing and not as matte as 303 Protectant. More like the look of Poorboys Natural Look. This was likely the preferred method as it seems to dry rather fast and likely spraying on towel first transferred less product.

So I would suggest this order -- Einszett Cockpit Premium (clean, new) , Einszett Classic Cockpit (brighter, clean, slightly matte), and Einszett Vinyl/Rubber Care (matte with hint of gloss) depending on your desire for interior surfaces.

All in all, another nice product in the Einszett Line. Clearly their interior and leather products are 1st rate and this is another offering to consider. Their Rubber Stick is also a must-have product and clearly dresses and protects rubber surrounds for months at a time.

Nice review, I always wondered what the differance was. I thought Prem was a newer version of Classic and in spray form and not aerosol. Still love CP Prep and will never be without it in my collection.

Hey, at least it's warm enough to pull it out for cleaning. I took mine out for a little bit tonight, drove maybe 8-10 miles total just to hear it run.................and I saw a snowflake or two in the air. It needs to be washed, etc., but too cold!! :( I'll have to wait a bit for a slight temp. increase (even w/ONR). Plus, I need a cover after I get it washed...............I guess I have been dogging it thinking somehow it will get "warm" again. NOT!!

BTW, still looking for cars..............just not excitedyet about whaty I am finding! Ugh.......

Thanks, Scott.

See ya.

Saturn (Daily Driver) -- dont remind me its time to pull Vette from under cover for cleaning.

always wanted to try 1Z interior products. Will probably start with cockpit. Seems this brand has been forgotten though as of late.

Thank you for the review! :dblthumb2:
After using the 1Z rubber stick and now the leather care (both recommended by you Killr) I have to say I am liking the products Einszett produces. The rubber stick has grown on me the more I've used it as I have noticed a difference in the elasticity and look of my rubber seals. After seeing and feeling my leather today a couple days after application it also looks like Leather Care is another one I will be liking more and more as I get to know it.

Thanks for the Einszett writeup, I've been thinking about giving their products a try but was reluctant to try them without reading more about them in a review given by someone whose opiniun is honest and not just a sale pitch. You filled the bill. Again thanks.

nice review, Scott, I was wondering about this product...I love Cockpit premium so much, I have a 10 liter jug of it...that should last for quite a while...

Great write-up, Scott!

Do you find that Cockpit Premium and Cockpit Classic protect the finish? I never found anything mentioning UV protection or any type of finish left behind; it seems like it is strictly a cleaner so hopefully someone can clarify this. Otherwise, I can contact 1Z to get a clear answer.

I have used Cockpit Premium plenty in the past and do like the results it gives. But I usually follow with something like 303 as I was under the impression that CP did not leave behind any UV protection.

Gotcha, thanks for posting that information!

I really wasn't sure since it leaves such a no-gloss finish that it seems like nothing is left behind. I do love the finish it leaves...having a no-gloss dash with UV protection is perfect in my book.

I had emailed them sometime ago and also got the word there is "some" UV protection. But for best UV protection, use their Vinyl Dressing which is designed for outside use too and sounds more similar in design/function to 303.
