Sorry for the noob question, never used this before - but do you remove the red plastic thing between the foam applicator I assume? And then put it back in when done?

The little red ball is what keeps the product in the bottle. When you press down, the ball recesses and allows product to come out. Stop pressing down and the ball goes back in place. So in short: don't remove the little red ball.

Excuse me for butting in, but does the Gummi Plfege Stick use the same formula found in 1Z Einszett Vinyl Rubber Care and Protectant Tiefenpfleger?

AHHHHH. Thank you, Bob. I read them both. Very interesting indeed.
What do you think:
are they the one and the same formulation?

(There is the little bit of ethanol that's listed in
Gummi Pflege Stick's MSDS, that is.)

I thought It was odd that the main ingredient was only listed for the spray, whereas the stick's sheet was more revealing.
I thought it was more odd that there was, in my mind, a wide variance in percentage of how much main ingredient was actually used.
I'm sure 1z would never let garbage go out their doors, but I thought the percentage would be closer between batches. But, then again, that's not to say they are varying a lot, but rather, could be varying.
I would rather have the stick right now for our winters here, and then use the spray for the summer.
I sprayed my rubber with BF interior spray, and it's half-way frozen. I think I'm going to have to resort to the syl-glide. I was hoping not to; it's in the basement covered in itself mixed with a lot of brake dust and rust on the tube.
