Quick question. I've seen things on youtube etc.. but for some reason I cant find this info again. Strange.

While working our first boat gig I came upon the emblems and pinstripes/graphics when polishing the hull. What is THE WAY to handle this? Whether I us a rotary or a DA..... am I just mowing over these thing? Should I be taping them off? Seems a bit intricate to do that. I see videos of people just polishing right over these things and it doesn't look to be a problem. Yeah I know we want to tape off rub rails and other obvious things like boat bottom paint etc... but I need your professional advice.
There were the boat registrations stickers, the graphics at the water line and puffy (best way I could explain it) manufacturer emblems.

As always, Thanks for your help.

Seriously. Just a quick one liner would be appreciated.

I would tape anything that looked like it could be damaged buffing. have you watched Mike's "how to detail your boat" video on the premiumboatcare.com website? I know your not new but this could provide some assistance. I wanted to take the boat detailing class offered but the last one was canceled.
