Hi guys,
I always see people show before/after of engines they detailed. Most of these cars are new or relatively new. This means that they have a bunch of plastic covers that already protect all the elements like the air intake system, alternator, sensors, etc....so it's something that your mother could probably clean safely.
My question is.... how do you detail engines that are not that new? Engines from the 90's and early 2000's that don't have a big plastic panel that covers everything...?
What should I cover up with plastic bags or foil?
I've always wanted to detail my engines but I am worried about getting water in the spark plug valley or other areas that I shouldn't get water in.
How should this be approached?
I hope this thread help alot of people because I am sure I am not the only one who is wondering about this issue.
