[I think it was] Jason put up a good post/article in the newsletter on engine detailing just a few days ago. Or at least, I saw it just a few days ago. But now I can't find it! I want to read it again. Can anyone link me to it?

Also...my car is brand new so of course my engine isn't all that dirty yet. Do I need to use degreaser, or will my DP Exterior cleaner do? And will wiping rather than hosing off will do it? Since it's not that dirty...

AND...what should I use to shine/condition the metal parts of the engine that are showing and easy to get to? Sorry, I'm not a car geek so I don't know what to call anything yet. :o Is AIO good?

I plan to use 303 on the plastic and rubber. Is this okay?

Boy, I sure didn't know there was this much to it when I decided to learn about car detailing. You guys are really sucking me in!! :D :D

Here's the engine detailing article by Jason.

I haven't detailed my engine yet. As far as I've read, it's fine to use DP Ext Cleaner to wipe down since it's still brand new and not dirty.
From reading again, 303 is fine on plastic and rubber. Any rubber protectant will do.
I keep stressing "reading" because I have not personally done this yet.

You're right though about being sucked in. :D This detailing stuff is addicting!! I just got in from washing and waxing my wife's car. Since it's brand new, I just washed with DP 4-in-1, waxed with PB Natty's and did the tires with PB BnB. Good stuff. I came in to warm up a little. My hands are kinda numb. It's in the low 50's here and it's windy and overcast. I got some "are you crazy?" looks from some neighbors. LOL.
Then it's outside again to do my Explorer.
