It's looking like some good showers coming my way. Ever wash you baby up in the rain. Been hot here all day, wouldn't mind putting the swim suit on and lathering her up. Storm will pass then I can dry her. Anybody do it. Thanks. :buffing:

Peace,

Darrin

It rained twice on me as I washed my truck last Saturday. I just considered it the rinse to my rinseless wash

I have, people think I'm nuts one time the lighting started so I call the game. It's kinda being one with the vehicle and Mother Nature if that make sense.

I love washing in the rain because the air gets moist and prevents water spots.

But it only rains here for a few minutes most of the time.

And when the rain goes away, you're the only one who has a clean and shiny car.

I don't see anything wrong with washing
things---even vehicles---in the rain.

In fact: I've seen it happen quite regularly;
whenever I'm visiting for spell around here:

But this may not be a fair assessment on my part,
because: I'm often nostalgic for my time in the
facility...especially for the camaraderie and acceptance
there. And the ECT. Can't say enough about ECT.

If you start washing your car and it starts raining unexpectedly - you do what you have to do. If it's raining an you make it a point to go wash your car - your probably retarded IMHO.

Yep did it last week, was a week since I washed her and was out running errands after work last Wednesday and got caught in the rain several times was drenched, so when I got home I got doused again. no luck so sat on the couch soaking wet and figured I was already wet might as well use the conditions to my advantage, whipped the tie off and rolled up my sleeves and gave My SS Camaro and nice bath. Ye I am that detailing clean car nut....LOL

Yes. Yesterday I used ONR in my garage while it was raining. Not my dd so it won't leave again until it's dry out!

Sure have.

But since we are in year four of a drought it has been a while.

I would generally pull the car out into the driveway when the rain start and let the car get rained on for an hour. Then two bucket wash. And just leave it outside until the rain stops or it starts getting dark. Then back into the garage for a quick wipe with a waffle weave MF.
The paint then dries spot free. I would only rinse the car with a hose if I thought that the rain was going to stop in a half hour or so. But an hour of rain is plenty to rinse all the soapy water off the car.

Not since the 90's.

I was at my gf's house back in 98, in the garage wiping the Blue Coral Ultra Fine Auto Polish off my GMC Safari as the tornado sirens started going off. Perfect time for a drive.

Yes I have washed my car in the rain before.

In fact I have also washed my car when it was snowing with my fiancee and her dog standing next to me.. in winter jackets.. all bundled up. I decided to go inside when my towels started to freeze lol

I washed my car on the rain the other day, then pulled it inside for a quick once over with the fine nano skin and another coat of 845 and a refresh of my glass coating. I ended up leaving my wife's car outside so mine stayed dry until the next morning.

Rain is naturally demineralized water which we all know will not leave water spots behind. I have no problem washing in the rain!

I avoid it as much as I can. I don't know about you people, since I live in a polluted city. When it rains, pollutants in the air get mixed with rain water and turn into acid rain. No acid shower for my car :nomore:
