Expedia plane tickets

Have not called expedia but heard stories where expedia would not refund people their plane tickets. Anyone had good experience with this? Need to cancel my plane ticket which is about 18 days out and want to see if anyone got lucky getting a full refund on their tickes.

Agree. There should be some verbiage on your invoice telling you whether the tickets are refundable. That will be the ultimate answer.

I've only used Expedia a couple times, but typically those tickets are all non-refundable in order to get the lowest rates. Airlines will add on all sorts of fees for refundable tickets. If the Expedia contract won't provide a refund, you *might* get lucky calling the airline directly. They might not give you a refund, but they could possibly offer you a credit good for a period of time. I've actually experienced that before, but I bought the ticket directly for the airline.

Oh my god, so I booked a trip to Europe through expedia and was going to go to germany, spain, and italy. I prepaid all the hotels and was worried I would not be able to get my money back due to a situation. Fighting for 1.5 weeks all of the hotels except one is agreeing to refund my money in full even if it wasn't refundable. Holy cow I heard horror stories of people not getting their money back but I think I just annoyed the hell out of them. My booking and my 2 flight cost over 2,500 and not getting any of it back was scarying the hell out of me. One of the hotels did not anwser to my emails or calls even though the first email they said they will notify me. I requested a chargeback from my bank and now they are on the process of getting my money back and at the same time, providing provisional funds to my account. Holy I am happy and what are the odds of that!
