Hi guys

Can anyone recommended their go-to product for cleaning & dressing exterior trim plastics, vinyl and rubber?

I keep seeing Instagram posts of Chemical Guys Trim Wax and Oil remover that cleans and preps the surface followed by their Tire+Trim Gel which looks like decent results.

Hoping to achieve similar if not better results with the right products.

Thanks in advance!

I used to use Meguiar's M40 for trim dressing. It has a light cleaner that seemed to work ok.. M39 is the cleaner companion for cleaning rubber and vinyl.

Today I use Optimum Power Clean at a 3:1 dilution, followed by Opti-Seal.

As mentioned by dlc95, Meguiar's M39 is a go-to for this sort of thing.

From there, I like to use 303 for protection/dressing.

If you want something longer lasting, use something like CarPro DLUX or Gyeon Trim.

For cleaning exterior trim, Meguairs D101 with a stiff brush works well. If the trim is smooth and is riddled with dried wax and polish, then I will use a Magic Eraser. I don't use the Magic Eraser on textured trim. As far as a dressing goes, Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant works very well.

I like M39 to clean. And to dress, I either use a coating if it's new/textured trim, or Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant if it's a rubberized type of trim that just needs to stay black for a while.

Another vote for Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant.
