Factory Window Tint & IPA

I recently tried Aqaupel and I cleaned my windshield and then followed with an IPA wipe down to make sure that all of the Stoner’s IG with rain repellant was removed before applying it.

The IPA did such a nice job I used it on all the exterior windows before reapplying Stoner’s IG to the rest of the exterior glass.

So now my question is would IPA hurt factory window tint if I used it on the interior glass before following it with some Stoner’s IG?

I use Stoners IG which in tint safe on a regular basis on interior glass without issue. I cannot see where IPA would do any better.

I'm not positive on this, but factory windows aren't tinted in the same process as you're thinking. I believe that factory windows have some sort of chemical process to darken the windows. Aftermarket tinting is the application of a film to the window. I tried a google search to help, but got nowhere.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge can weigh in.
