faded paint always in the sun

I have an old BMW 635csi that sits outside all year in southern Ontario, Canada. It has red single stage paint that fades to chalky looking pink very quickly. I have no problem polishing back to shine, but I was wondering what to put on it after to prolong the shine? Wax, sealant or one of the coatings?
