Looking to see what you know as the fastest curing sealant or coating? I have some friends and I do their cars as favors and they sometimes don’t have a garage or can’t leave the car with me. Looking for something fairly durable. Thanks.

I use CCI Advanced. I hour after coating apply their AMP spray and it's free to go. It's a bit pricey without a wholesale account.

Most sealants I've used only need an hour or two to cure. If you can keep them dry for that long there shouldn't be any issues.

Many coatings these days have a topper or two which they claim will protect the coating from things like moisture during the initial curing process (typically the first 24 hours) For the Gyeon products it's Cure or Ceramic Detailer, for Armour Detail Supply it's their Amplify or one of their other products, and CarPro has one to - maybe Reload? Each coating vendor typically has a recommended product for this purpose.

Can you elaborate on the sealants you’re using? Thanks.

The sealants I've used in the past are Colinite 845 and Wolfgang SiO2 Paint Sealant, Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 Sealant, Turtle Wax Hybrids Solution Ceramic Spray Coating (its a sealant), and long...long ago, Klasse Sealant Glaze.

With any of those, once you apply them, let them set for the prescribed time, and then buff them off, you should be OK. In the case of the spray sealants It's even faster. I seem to remember the Wolfgang directions saying it should cure for 24 hours before getting wet, but I remember on one occasion the car getting a light rain a few hours after the sealant was applied and it was OK.

Here are a list of coatings off the top of my head

DIY Detail / C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite- 1 hour before being exposed to the elements. No topper needed.
Clean By Pan 3 year and 8 year - 1 hour before being exposed to the elements. No topper needed.
Diamond ProTech - 1 hour before being exposed to the elements. No topper needed.
McKee's 37 - 6 hour cure time. No topper needed.
CarPro Cquartz Lite - 4 hour cure time. Recommended but not required to top with CarPro Reload 1 hour after or Release 4 hours after.
CarPro Cquartz SiC - 2 hour cure time, 24 hours recommended. Do not top with Reload as it will damage the coating.
CarPro Cquartz UK - 1 hour cure time, 24 hours recommended. Recommended but not required to top with CarPro Reload 1 hour after or Release 4 hours after.

Not sure about the general feeling of Undrdog here but they released something called Glossenhancen they claim can go over any coating and is meant to be sacrificial... however the standalone durability is said to be 1-2yrs.

I've used it, it's very user-friendly but I can't confirm durability and compatibility across other brands. I've mostly used it for touch-up. I've never applied it and sent it out into the wild after the claimed one hour cure time.

Ive used ads phobic in similar situations. 4 hour initial cure time before getting wet or applying a product to protect it during the 24 hour full cure process. But i scheduale those details on days when its not going to rain anyhow so it does not affect me.
