Much of the fun we have detailing is experimenting with all of the various product choices. Many brands have products that work well with each other (i.e. "brand synergy"), but sometimes we come across a pair of products that consistently outperform when used together forming a 1-2 punch that just plain works.

Here are two of my favorites:

• Uber Rinseless Wash + Prima Hydro •

This dynamic duo cleans great, provides outstanding gloss and slickness, and never streaks. Works on paint, glass, plastic trim, rubber, and chrome. Using Hydro as a drying aid after rinseless washing with Uber is a winner. If your car has a paint sealant for the LSP, this combo is superb for ongoing maintenance.

• Mothers Back-To-Black Tire Renew + BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant •

This one is bitter sweet, as BLACKFIRE has not brought this product back (yet) after their brand refresh. To clean and dress tires without the need for a hose and running water this combo is tough to beat. Although the dressing will not last as long as a tire coating, it looks great and is super easy to apply. If you wash your vehicle using rinseless washes this duo makes quick work of keeping tires looking sharp.

I'll bet you've also found some favorite 1-2 punch products. If so, please share...

ECH2O Rinseless wash and then a final wipe with a ECH2O & Reload qd mix.

How about a pair of products from two different manufacturers?

D114 and my squeegee = crystal clear windshield.

50/50 mix of CG V7 and Sonax BSD is a sweet QD to use after a wash.

Meguiars Ultimate Wax + Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba

Menzerna abrasives, Duragloss sealants, and Zymol carnauba is my "private reserve" when wielding the 7424.

Rupes tools, pads, abrasives, and sealant with Zymol. I've also used Duragloss and Optimum sealants after treatment with Rupes polishing components.

Meguiar's abrasives with Duragloss sealants.....

Everything I have has been mixed up in some way, and it always works.

This is an excellent thread. All too often I get hooked on, "the next big thing", and before you know it I have a shelf full of products that I've used once. This thread is a good resource for us to share "what works."

- - McKees 37 Tire and Rubber Rejuvenator + McKees 37 Gloss Tire Gel. - -

Also a 50/50 mix of Griots Best of shine detailer and Sonax Bsd works well too for a post wash drying aid.

1-2 punch, ONR and D156 as drying aid/spray wax. Great for maintenance washes, literally too easy!!

My favorite combo though is more along a 1-2-3 combo, and only adds an extra 15-20 minutes overall, ONR(wash)-> D156(drying aid)-> Megs ultimate fast finish(sealant). Wash and wax in 30-45 minutes, again too easy!!

Megs #7 Show Car Glaze followed by #26 Yellow Wax.
