Just picked up a new accord sport 2.0t. It has leather seats with fabric inserts in the centers. I’d like to protect the fabric, but am unsure what product to use. Since it’s only in the centers, I’d like something that has controlled application. Not looking to go overboard in terms of price.

Thanks in advance.

303 Fabric Guard maybe. Its the only one that I use regularly, so can't compare it to others. You also have coating type fabric protectors from Carpro, GTechniq and Gyeon

Thanks. Anyone have experience using Ultima interior guard on fabric?

Another vote for 303 fabric protectant. This picture is from today. 14 months ago I used the 303 on these seats carpet and floor mats. I haven't yet reapplied, though I should have probably months ago. This car sees the most use from the family of our personal cars. I sprayed distilled water on the seats to see how well the 303 was holding up. While the beading wasn't stellar, is was for it being 14 months. I did it on all four seats, they all looked the same to me as far as performance. The floor mats didn't bead hardly at all at this point. Still for something that should be applied twice a year its performance is pretty good still. View attachment 64763

That’s distilled water? Maybe I’m seeing things, but to me it looks all black like tar or something. I dunno.

As far as fabric protector, I use ScotchGard. I like how it comes in aerosol can which allows you to spray directly where you want it.

Ultima Interior Guard is my favorite interior protectant, but I have never applied it carpet or upholstery. I use it on leather, plastic and vinyl. It would be a product that you could use on your entire seat though.

The seat right after a quick wipe to pick up the water. Where it's a bit darker is where water did soak in a little. Like I said though this has been on for 14 months though. It was still at about 40% . Not bad for something that's supposed to be applied every six months.

My issue is that while I know 303 is great, I'm looking for something I can put on an applicator, hence my question around ultima. Plus I could use that on the whole seat. Would be my preference but looking for someone who has experience with it.

That being said, is it possible to apply 303 via a towel or applicator? Any harm if it gets on leather and is quickly wiped?

Look at the picture of my seat above. Just like you stated yours is, leather trimmed. Anything that gets on plastic or leather I just wipe off with a damp mf towel. No issues been using this way on many of my vehicles for years now. You don't want to leave it on those surfaces. If your really paranoid about it, put a protectant on those surfaces beforehand.
