Hey all
I typically hand wash in the garage during the winter. However with time precious I am planning for some possible tweaks to the norm.

I’ve got a do it yourself wash near me. I’m planning to use griots foaming surface wash in their pump foamed. Works well.

However now I’d like to add a spray and rise into the mix to boost the protection I have on there.

What’s your favorite? Ease of use is paramount. Thanks!

I've never been let down by Gyeon Wet Coat or DIY Detail Incredibeads but ADS EZ Beads and Pure:est S1 are on deck

I used Wet Coat when it first came out, with great results, even convinced some non detailing friends to try it out, they loved it. But at about my 3rd or 4th bottle I got either a bad batch or wrong application, and I ended up with a streaky finish. I never figured out if it was me or the batch, or maybe how I stored it, but I switched at that point to 303 Touchless Sealant, and I still use it now, mainly as a wheel sealant, and it works great. In fact, where I use it on the driveway, the water still beads up whenever it gets wet.

I may also use the megs hybrid spray which is a rinse off since I’m using their hybrid ceramic aerosol coating.

The one in the blue bottle? If so, read the directions because it's not like Gyeon Q2 Wet Coat or the other products we're talking about here as far as how it's applied

This is correct

They leave Step 1 until the very end of the instructions and without it you are wasting product

It has to be rubbed into clean dry paint, either with a slightly damp microfiber applicator, or a dry applicator, depending on if you listen to Apex or Sandro (it works either way) and then you buff it off

It takes very little product for this foundation layer

Subsequent applications can go on wet and get rinsed off but if you use it, dilute it down to 2:1 for the secondary wet application or you will be wasting a LOT of product

Guys were spraying on a half or whole bottle thinking that was the way to go and it is too much

I think most of the best ones have been mentioned. I used ADS Beads a week ago and application was as promised.

The others not yet mentioned I've used are DIY Detail Quick Beads and CARPRO HydrO2 Lite Touchless Silica Sealant. Finally, from a small business, Final Details Car Care Spray and Rinse Ceramic Sealant. All of these have also worked well for me.

Disclosure: I'm using these on lower panels and wheels... not across the whole exterior.

I guess I should have added that I don't personally use it as a spray on rinse off except for my wheels; they get a wiped on and buffed off base coat and then the 2:1 dilution as a spray on wipe off

I do like it a LOT as a wipe on and buff off base coat type sealant for regular body paint, trim, etc and then I use another topper or drying aid rather than the HCW as a rinse off

I am still trying to get through my gallon of McKees 37 Hydro Blue lol.

I always enjoyed using the Blackfire HydroSeal but they recently discontinued this product. Gyeon, CarPro, and Sonax offer similar spray-on / rinse-off products that also work great.

I'm a bit of a Carpro fan, so I'll be looking at HydrO2 Touchless when my 303 runs out.
Go with the premixed Hydr02 Lite and not the concentrate.

Even when mixed with demineralized water, I found the concentrate to be quite unstable and inconsistent.

I also hated the Hydr02 Foam.

Good info, thanks. I probably would have opted for the concentrate on the basis of Ech2o being so consistent and stable. I'm sure the premix will be enough, I'm not a big user, mainly it's on wheels for me.

I used the concentrate for a while, but noticed it would vary from batch to batch despite using the same water to product quantities every time. If you are only using it here and there, wheels ect, then the premix is more than enough.

I get Prime Solutions Kick As Ceramic Spray On Sealant for $16/gallon and it works great for fleets and daily drivers.

Yes, that was $16 for a gallon.

Hydro Blue was great and have some Hydr02 laying around both were good. Durabilty about 2 weeks on wheels

Feel like I'm missing out
I never use this sort of product
The customer either gets ceramic coating or 3d speed
On a + note it keeps my shelves less cluttered
