I'm curious what everyone's favorite trim restorer products are for faded gray plastic moldings such as what's found on the Honda Element and Chevy Avalanche.
And as a follow up question, what are the typical results of your favorite products (longevity)?

Thanks! Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

M-40.

I am a newb and when I first used it, I brushed on a heavy coat to my 88 Civic's bumper, waited several hours, wiped and was disappointed. (more is not better)

Later, I researched that if you carefully massage it in to the trim and wipe 20 minutes later, it looks great and holds up well because it's not just laying on the surface. It's in the pores, I guess.

Haven't tried anything else, so can't compare...

If anyone has any experience with this vs. PB Trim Restore, I would love to hear the head to head on them.

I am looking to purchase some with my AG order on some Pinnacle stuff this week. :xyxthumbs:

Trim Restorer is great for cleaning and dressing the trim, just make sure you apply it thoroughly and buff afterwards to avoid streaking. I can't comment on the Ultima product though.

Poorboys Trim Restorer is a favorite ... Stoners makes a spray version too.

Black Wow. This product works great on smooth unpainted plastic trim.

Meguiars All Season Dressing definitly restores trim.

I am throwing out an idea to see if anyone would be interested in it. Since there are usually lots of different answers to this very question, I am thinking about doing my very own trim restorer shootout to see what kind of results and durability I can get. What you think??

I've used Black Wow & Black Again on my Tracker trim & bumper which had faded badly. I touch it up from time to time with 303 Aerospace Protectant, but Black Wow or Black Again is put on every couple of months or so. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. The "Black" products can get messy and I need to do a couple of wipe downs after it's been on for a while. I could be putting it on incorrectly but it works for me.

Ultima and PB are both great. PB is probably better for badly faded trim. Ultima needs very little product. I've not tried Black WOW yet but have read is not too good on Element trim. For trim in good shape 303 Aerospace is hard to beat.

I like Duragloss 265 spray. It's an aerosol can, but puts down a pretty accurate spray. It also seems to last a while. I like 303 as well though.

Wipe-new looks promising, "as [i have] seen on TV!" Ha.
