Favorite wax applicators?

Hey guys,
So I've always used these for applying wax and sealants and such my hand Chemical Guys MIC_292_01 - Premium Grade Microfiber Applicator, 2" x 4" x 6"

I was wondering what you all used and if there was a better choice. I see some people use foam applicators but I can never get many uses out of them.

I use these 3.5" red foam pads: Lake Country Beveled Edge 3.5 Inch Pad Pack with a Polishin' Pal to apply Fuzion. For a hobbyist such as myself, they hold up very well.

I've been using Blue/Black CCS pads on my PC 7424XP at speed 3-4.... works well for me. I use meg's gold paste wax sometimes, and just use the applicator that comes with it.

The BlackFire wax applicators sure are nice. Probably one of the nicest ones out there IMO.

Combine Meguiar's S3HP with Meguiar's W9204 for the ultimate comfort. No more holding on to a silly wax wafer....

+1. No more messy wax all over my hands and they seem to glide across the paint better than those yellow applicators.

Agreed on the S3HP. It also works great with the Meguiar's yellow foam pads which are very nice.

The yellow W8204 is Meguiar's polishing pad while the black W9204 is Meguiar's finishing or waxing pad.

The yellow would be suited for Meguiar's Cleaner wax, D151, etc. While the back pad would be suited for Gold Class wax, Ultimate wax, M26 etc.

Why can you not get many uses out of foam applicators? What is happening to them?

Thanks for the responses guys! I'll look into the ones suggested.

Swanicyouth--Even after washing them, they have dried up wax dust in them that goes everywhere. Maybe I'm not washing them well enough but that's why I don't get many uses.

You can clean them 100% clean with mineral spirits. However, for whatever reason - the BlackFire black foam applicators seem to clean up well with BlackFire pad cleaner - no MS needed.

If you want a nice foam applicator - I would get these.

Above is a BF applicator compared to a yellow El Cheapo.
