Didn't know where to ask this - so why not the man himself! I have watch hours & hours of your videos & posts & have learned the best techniques ever - I'm sure you must have something up your sleeve regarding fender covers that are really paint safe.

Anyway, on to my question.

I have achieved some amazing results on black paint using the Flex DA (Mikes recommendation - thanks - Love it!!), Wolfgang products and LSP with WG Deep Gloss Sealant.

The Fender covers I have been using on other cars has like a no skid rubber back that is paint safe - but "paint safe" is relative in that it wont chip, or dent the paint.....

BUT, for us Detail geeks that are OCD about our swirl free show car finish we worked so hard on, a rubber backed fender cover seems like it would introduce small scratches, clouds, or micro marring? I dont want to "test" in on my fender to find out.

Any-such thing as a high quality microfiber backed fender cover or something you would recommend to cover fender while working on the engine?.

Regarding Microfiber - I recently got a bunch of Micro Fiber Madness "Crazy Pile" towels and they absolutely amazing!

Thanks.

Groits garage sells a microfiber fender cover that has little magnets inside and if you.have a large microfiber towel.that can help too
