Ok, what is your procedure on filling up foam gun container.

Just read on Autogeek and it says to put soap in first and then spray water. With this you will get less water and just a bunch of foam in container.

I normally put water in and then soap. Close things up and shake just a bit to mix. That way I have don't have to deal with a half empty container with mostly foam.

Thoughts?

In my cannon I always do warm water first then soap, because like you stated most of the container would be foam if I did otherwise.

Water first, then soap. Put on the top and shake to stir the stuff.

I am so tricky

I fill one of my wash buckets to the top

Dunk the foam gun container

Add the soap

I also load with water first, then soap and shake.

Agreed. I do the same whenever doing a 2B wash - water first, then soap, followed by a strong blast of water from my pressure washer to make it nice and foamy.

I also load with water first, then soap and shake. I wish i could find a tight lid to fit to avoid all the solution from coming out when i put the gun lid on and shake!

Water first, and always HOT water from the tap. This ensures I get water that is softened better than my inline hose softener does; and with hot water the soap dissolves much easier so less shaking.

:iagree:

I always use very hot water to fill the container on my gun or cannon, then add the soap. Some of the more concentrated soaps dilute easier and faster in hot water.

Same as # 4...dunk, soap and shake...

I've been using hose water. Guess I'll try hot water from inside house

Autogeek half gallon foam gun. I'm pretty sure they're all from the same mfg (Gilmour) with different badging.

I ran over my previous one with my car so had to get a new one.

fill with water about 3/4 of the way up, then add the soap and slowly top it off. shake the canister in a circle motion to gradually mix up both the soap and water...

Like a professional, not an animal, huh?

lol. if you shake it up & down it will foam/suds up and doing it in a circle helps prevent that. also if you look through the clear container (or any bottle when shaking it this way) it will look like a little whirlpool so you know it's mixing correctly...
