Hi All,

What products/procedure would you recommend to remove finger scratch marks in the paint, located under a door handle. See photo below.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Get some Meg's Ultimate Compound and a foam pad.

:whs: I have recently used UC and a terry cloth towel (for extra "bite") to get out some really tough scuff marks that a friend had on her black PT cruiser. It seems it was car vs plastic mailbox...boy did it put some scrapes in the paint...but the UC took care of it, no problem. Of course I had to rub, and rub, but I got all the scratches off. Now if the mailbox had been metal, well, we'd have a different outcome...

So I highly recommend UC for the fingernail scratches. It will take them right off!

The above recommendations are good advice. I used Meguiar's M105 for these. If the foam applicator isn't cutting it, try a terry cloth applicator (as mentioned, it will give you more bite).

m105? Really? That's seems too harsh for me. I used Meguiar's Cleaner Wax and it took care of them like they were nothing.

Depends on the severity, age, and color of the car does it not? A ten year old black car with the accumulated marks around the handles wouldn't be touched by a cleaner wax. More muscle is required in the polish, the applicator, and the pressure required.
