So today I used my GG6 with a microfiber pad and some m105....practice time. Got half the hood done and drivers side fender. Was amazed with the shine(very wet looking).....almost thinking that I won't need m205 but I will be using it anyways. Here are some after shots of the fender, hood and 50/50
shots.

Looks really good. You're gonna think its a new truck when done!

That truck was a mess and man did it clean up nicely! The under the hood shots were gross and I'd like to see it look as good as the outside!

Nice Work!! :props:

That's some excellent white paint shine.

Curious what made you decide to detail it after all those years!

I love real world car/truck transformations, it's amazing how much value you can add to a daily driver after a good polish.

I'm back at it today....should have about 4hrs to work on it... I will get some more pics as I move forward. I have absolutely no detailing experience and was going to do my wife's Camry but decided if I was going to mess up it better be on my truck.lol

I did a ton of reading here and watched videos many videos but 100% of my success so far comes from the information on this forum. It's really hard to see how bad the paint was but I think the 2nd 50/50 pic gives a good idea how oxidized the paint was. The swirls were also very bad....going to try and get some better 50/50 shots today.

Great results so far, don't give up unless the weather gets to ya.
Good idea to try on your vehicle than your wife Camry, she'll be impressed how the F150 looks and can't wait to get her's done.
I've done the same, my wife is more like a microwave, I'm more of a crock pot. She wonders why it takes 6,7 or 8 hours to truly detail a vehicle, the results are always better than she expected.
Keep the :Picture:comming :dblthumb2:

A little update....I got to spend a few more hours on the truck today. Up to today I only did the two front fenders and the hood with M105. So today I used a white pad with M205 and finished the two fenders and the hood. When I was all done I topped it of with Opti Guard. I looks amazing. I did get one pic to show the reflection but man it shines. It looks amazing...wow.

Why it make the image so small

This thing is still in progress and I will have a few hours to do the drivers side of the truck. I did some reading on this forum and figured out how to take some good pics to show what I am dealing with. The pics below are what I will be working on tomorrow as time permits.

I can't wait to see this transformation progress. Excellent work so far!
