So I decided this summer to start doing detailing as a job rather than working for someone else. Just my preference. My schedule is tight because of some other things I have planned.

I just got off the phone with my first customer. (Not related or a friend). They just want an AIO but I am really looking to pay attention and fix all the small details on this car. I have the car from 7am to around 4pm so I have plenty of time.

I am really excited to do this detail being that I can show my skills and that teenagers can detail. Thought I would share with the Autogeek Community as we all love detailing! :xyxthumbs:

Wish me luck! :props:

Good luck Ryan!! Nice to see teenagers that know how to work hard. It seems that many these days don't. Kudos to you!! Get their phone number and email if possible so you can follow up with them in a few months. It really makes a big difference when you follow up with maintenance offers.

Good luck man I'm 18 and just started a detail business and love it. I just had my first legit personal detail I've done for car lots but this was my first private detail for someone I didn't know. He was very impressed and got me some jobs from his neighbors. Good luck

Good luck Ryan.

Take your time, focus on the DETAILS :xyxthumbs:

Keep us posted on the results!

Thanks guys! I plan on taking photos throughout.

Wheelz, I am going to try both Poorboy's Polish w/ Sealant and Meg's D151 PRC. I will probably start with a white pad. But I will have to wait and see what condition the paint is in to determine what will work the best.

Get ready because 1 customer leads to 2 more. Just remember from 7 to 4 that car is in your control, care and custody you are responsible for it. It is a good idea to have insurance if your going to be doing this as your job.

I have thought of it. I just don't want to get it then don't get enough customers to have it be worth the time. I'll have to see how it goes.

Good luck bro! I'm 23 started my biz officially this year. Show em what us young'ns can do!

Good luck! I was nervous as a cat doing my first non-family/friend detail. Pics please when done.

I plan on taking photos throughout being that I have the car almost the whole day. The customer isn't scheduled until Thursday next week so it will be a bit.
