This is the first look at the Autogeek Detailer's Bag, detailing bag, detailing supplies bag, storage bag, tool box, buffer bag, car care organizer, buffing pads organizer

I bought this bag a few weeks back on VIP special and I wanted to post an initial impression review, then follow up when I have more experience with the product.

The Autogeek Detailer’s Bag is a carry-all for your detailing supplies, even your polisher! Just like a carpenter’s tool box, the Autogeek Detailer’s Bag carries your tools of the trade. This well-made, generously sized organizer holds bottles, buffing pads, brushes, and everything else you need to tackle any detailing job.

This bag reminds me of the old-fashioned doctor’s bag. It’s perfect for a mobile detailer making house calls. With 12 pockets, two large compartments, Velcro™ fasteners, and interior elastic straps for small items, the Autogeek Detailer’s Bag literally has a place for everything.

...

Load it up! The rugged construction of the Autogeek Detailer’s Bag means you can fill it full of products without putting any strain on the materials. The stainless steel handle is secured into the hard end panels that give the bag its shape and strength. The entire bag is made of rugged, water resistant, 600 denier nylon canvas. The seams are all reinforced with black canvas and metal studs. The bottom of the bag features two non-skid feet.

Details:
1.- Packaging: None - There are yellow versions with Pinnacle / Wolfgang branding

2.- Size: 17”L x 9” W x 13” H
3.- Price at time of Review: $49.99
4.- Manufacturer: Unknown (sold by Autogeek)
5.- Made in:

Additional products used for prep, during application, or removal:
1.Various products / bottles from my supply stash

Initial Observations:
When you first pick this bag up, the heavy duty metal rod / handle catches you a bit off guard. It gives the entire construction a very rigid and durable feel, that makes you think even with 50lbs of product/accessories this bag is going to hold together without any issues. The nylon is good quality and thick, and it is obvious a lot of though has gone into this bag - the top flap can open from either direction (Velcro on either side) and there are nooks, pockets and straps for just about everything. It is going to take some experimentation to see which configuration works best for me.

Pictures:
I selected a random assortment of products and accessories to get a feel for the bag and fill it up for pictures.

Virtually every square inch of this bag has been utilized to carry something which maximizes the amount of stuff you can transport in a single bag.

Velcro access to the very sturdy cushioned grip that goes the entire length of the bag:

Velcro top opened from the other side of the bag:

A polisher easily fits inside with a lot of extra room for other stuff:

The bottom holds 5 mixed size pads pretty easily. There is some Velcro on the divider I need to take another look at to see if it will allow more room in the pad compartment.

Conclusions
I think this is going to be a very nice and durable bag capable of holding a lot of detailing tools and products in a efficient and organized manner. I am planning on moving a lot of my interior tools and brushes to this bag so they are easy to find and not left behind when I do a mobile detail.

Followups will be posted as I gain more experience / familiarity with the bag.

I keep all my detailing brushes in the top for easy access. I've got the Wolfgang bag, but I believe they are all the same bag though. You're going to love it, i do anyways. Great review :props:

Bill, thanks for the excellent review and pictures. It sure does look like a high quality bag. I'm going to have to get one this year I think.

I have the Pinnacle version and it is a nice bag as far as storage capacity goes but the false (inside) bottom is sagging a bit with the weight of the PC 7424.

looks like youve got all the free space filled ...

I have the same exact bag except mine is a Griot's Garage version. It's awesome and comes in really handy!

I use a dewalt tool bag for my polisher and pads, and a mothers bag for my product. I really need this bag. I have to hold off on ordering until I am sure that we are going to get paid this month. Damn congress.

Thanks for the review Bill. I just used mine today to bring the new Micro Fiber system and my PC to work . The top has plenty of room but it would be nice if you could store the PC in the below compartment and everything else up top . Other then that it's a real handy to have .

This happened back in the Carter years when I was in the Navy. I consider you guys as the most essential of all Government personnel! God Bless!

Excellent review Bill! I didnt like trying to get my GG DA in and out with a 25' cord. Very well built. I am anything but mobile so my input shouldnt count for much!

Take a gander at the Pinnacle & Wolfgang sites occasionally, every once in a while there's some real nuggets to be found. I picked up the Pinnacle bag cheap and the Flex bag was $24.95 on the Wolfgang site for the longest time but not discounted on the other PBMA sites.

Do you think the GG with regular cord will fit? I looked at this but chickened out at the last minute. Man I need a bag to carry all my crap in and just a place to store it at the house.

Great review and thanks for the photos! I might consider it a bit more now.

thanks. I hope something is done. A lot of folks are going to be put in some serious financial trouble if we don't get paid. I understand backpay will come, but a lot of soldiers live paycheck to paycheck.

Thanks for the tip!

As one of the "essential" personnel I'll be slaving over a hot radar scope regardless. I don't recall the particulars last time this happened but I don't recall a pay interruption.

114 days until I exit Club Fed, they better get things straightened out by then... OPM is already 8 MONTHS behind processing retirements. Your tax dollars at work.

Thanks for the review. I almost expected a contest on guessing the products in the bag. Wolfgang polishes, DPS, FK425, ..what else?

IMO it would still be a pain! I bought a rubbermaid type container at Lowes. It is deep and has a durable snap on top. It has room for the 3 & 6" GG DA's and a lot of pads. It would easily fit in a trunk and has 2 handles to carry it. Cost less than $10.

Always good to remember there are many ways of accomplishing the same thing. Tiger - would you be able to share a picture of your setup?

I like mine (I actually have two), but the only thing I wish was the side pockets to be customizable in size (velcro?) so that we could fit 24oz or 32oz bottles.
