Hey everyone,
I know it’s been a while since I’ve been active here. Most of my social time has shifted over to Facebook, where pretty much all my friends are now. I had to join a few years ago, and that’s where I hang out these days. If you’re on there too and want to connect, feel free to DM me!
I’ve worked on a lot of projects since I last posted, so I can’t share them all at once. But I’ll try to share what I can, starting with this recent one—a 1991 Miata that belongs to the father of a customer I’ve worked with before. The dad is the second owner and has had the car for a long time. It’s all stock except for a nice exhaust that we put on in about 5 minutes, which really improved the driving experience.
The car has a single-stage red paint job that’s about 34 years old, with over 105k miles on it. It had some swirls, so I treated it with my Basic Polish & Protect to help preserve the paint. For this job, I used my go-to Flex 3401 polisher with Lake Country Green Flat Pads. I’ve been using GYEON products for the last three years, so I went with PRIMER and MOHS EVO for the polish and coating. I also polished and coated the windshield and sealed the windows.
The dad is really happy with how it turned out, and the car is now ready for more fun times. It’s protected enough that it shouldn’t need much maintenance for a while!
