I have an 8 pass rule for myself, 8 passes without any pressure, inspect, if more sanding is needed then I do 4 more passes then inspect.
Really love the Unigrit paper, a little safer.
After my passes wet sanding I then compound , if the scratch or defect is still there oh well, it is what it is.
The drill was a bad mistake, I know it's too late and not trying to make you feel worst but saying it so that others not make the same mistake.
We're all here to help another and we do
Sorry man
