Does anybody have a opinion on this dealer sold service. I believe I have made a mistake buy purchasing it. The car is at the dealer now,had to be wet sanded and the so- called protectant put on it for a 4th time. Now this car is only 6 months old and has less than 2k miles. Starting to have my doubt about this stuff.

First Place Finish Car Care System

I have no experience with this specific system but my belief is "super duper" dealer applied paint protection is nothing more than a profit center for them. Most are garden variety sealants that must me reapplied at certain intervals to maintain the warranty. The truly high end coatings take much too long and can't be effectively applied by a minimum wage lot attendant. If they can wiggle $400-1000 out of you for $10 worth of material, that's a pretty good deal (for them).

You could buy virtually any sealant from this site and do a better job of protecting your car.

I have no idea why they would have to wet sand before application of something that comes out of a spray bottle and that would worry me a lot.

Car has only been sanded once. I don't believe the car was properly decontaminated befor applying it initially. So on my third trip, and car still not correct, I left car and told them to keep it until it was right. Knowing that it was covered by this warrenty. I paid 699. For this service , but have 2x a year detailing for as long as I own the car. This problem is what began me looking , and brought me here. . I have bought the klasse forum favorite kit and done my other vehicles with that, and it seems to be alot better

What do you expect for 8.50 a hr,8.50 final results.even if you paid just eat it and do your own car good luck.

Twice a year the same people who couldn't apply spray sealant are going to detail your car?

I'd try for my 700 back and put the Klasse on yourself. For $700, you could make a nice order here and do MANY cars the right way.

Sorry for your troubles.

If they can't get it right this time, demand your money or tell the company headquarters you are taking them to court ,If you make a good stink out of this they probably will pay the 699 for you to go away did you pay cash or roll it in the payment?

I paid for it, but it is written in the contract. Going to look at car on monday. Will see what happens. And will probably ask for a refund anyway.

I worked as a auto tech at a stealership and would watch a pimple faced minimum wage kid put on a cheap sealant that would last maybe 6 months tops for the same amount they charged you and market it as a 5 to 7 year paint protection. Never once was a car sanded to apply.
