Hi all,

First time poster and first time working on my car with all kinds of new toys. I will be washing, clay baring and then using my new PC with Pinnacle Swirl Remover kit to get my car looking like new. I have a Xpel wrap over the full bumper, hood, and back of the mirrors and a few other spots. I got a can of Fuzion that I plan on using on the car.

My question is has anyone ever used this over a clear wrap and is it worth using it over the wrapped areas with it being so expensive. Obviously I would like the car to look uniform across and hope that I can achieve that by waxing the wrap. Any other advice is greatly appreciated!

It is Xpel ultimate.
That's Great!! :props:

Frequently Asked Questions

"Can I wax the film when I wax the rest of the car?"

ULTIMATE Paint Protection film can be waxed and sealed just like your paint. Though XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant is still the preferred product, Any automotive wax or sealant may be used.

Skip wax for your CB. Not because wax is bad for CB material, but because some will get in the edges no matter how meticulous you are. Once it's there, it's nearly impossible to remove fully. Use a clear sealant type product like Hydro Max or WG DGLS on CB.

Thank you both. I will look at those two products. The advantage that I have is that the CB is a full wrap on each part so there is no edge on the main areas like the hood, fenders, and bumper.

I will often tape the edges up then apply my product just to avoid the edges. Also, Ive heard that using wax with any sort of abrasive or cleaner in it as it can cause discolouration of the film. use 100% pure carnauba or a sealant.

You'll be alright with Fuzion:
- It's a "Hybrid" Wax/Sealant; and:
- It has no chalky residues.

Or, instead:
If you want to go with the: as recommended by XPel...
PPF care products, including Sealants...
These are what I use on mine:

I was going to recommend the XPEL Paint Film Sealant but Bob beat me to it. I have been using it for years on my XPEL PPF. I do recommend taping off the edges when you use clay and machine polish. I also use Fuzion. When I apply Fuzion next to an edge of the PPF, I apply in a straight line along the edge. So far, no issues with product build up along the edge.
