It was time to practice how to remove the orange peel effect from my car...
i am waiting for an order that contains 2500 and 3000 grit sand papers,6'' PFW and Meg's wool pad & diamond cut.So i used what i had at home and what i found in local market.
Meg's 1000 grit sand paper for wet sanding
3,5 '' PFW & Menzerna Power gloss compound on rotary
Menzerna RD 3.02 on orange LC 6''pad with rotary
Menzerna F106 FA on green LC 6''pad with rotary
Menzerna 85RD on black LC 5,5'' pad with UDM
i did only the hood and the right front fender.
So here are the pictures

The hood full wet sanded with Meg's 1000 grit sand paper

Then i took the car out the sun to check what i have done..i was disappointed and i have some questions...Those sanding marks need a wet sanding with less aggressive sand paper or they need more compounding with a bigger wool pad that i used??

Awsome!!!!!

I need to do that on my truck. It has peal so bad you can almost see the sunkiss label. How much clear do you think was removed? How much time did it thake to get it to where the paint was leveled?

it took me about 3-4 hours because i had to wipe it to check it out.i have no idea how much CC it removed because i didn't check it.But i have to wet sand the rest of the car so i will measure it then....it needs only practicing...Take your time, move slowly slowly and there is nothing to worry about it...i wet sand it again this afternoon with 2000 grit to remove the 1000 grit sand paper remaining marks and it came out great...

Awesome work on that, the paint looks like it is soaking wet!
Thanks! i can't wait for the paint to cure, because it is freshly painted, just to apply some wax on it!!!!!
