Hey everyone!
A few weeks ago I bought a 135i that has had one fender repainted. Before sending it in to get a proper respray I thought I would try my hand at wet sanding the panel.
I have done several details and primarily work with a 7424 and the M105/205 combo (orange/white lake country pads). I assume this would be able to correct after I do the wetsand.

Here is the factory paint. (Yes I know the orange peel is crazy on factory BMWs).

And here is the paint I will be wetsanding. Do you think that a hand 1500/2000/3000 grit will eliminate the poor quality paint job.?

What is your objective wet sanding this panel?

Are you trying to match the OEM Orange Peel?

I am fairly certain that I wont be able to match the factory orange peel since they are just vastly different textures.
I would rather just eliminate the peel from the repainted panels and try to get a sharper reflection on those (which of course involves me leveling the paint)

Thanks for your quick reply!
