Hello, I am a day or two away from detailing my 08 vette, paint is in great shape, hardly a swirl to find.
My process:
wash, clay, wash, nano on LC white pad with flex, ipa wipedown, wolfgang 3.0 (2 coats) and at least 1 coat liquid sovereign.

Question #1) I chose to skip SIP due to great paint shape. Good/Bad ?
#2) any value added if 2nd coat of nano with finishing pad?
#3) can I get away with 1 white pad for car?
#4) is IPA needed since Nano is water based?

And yes there will be pics.

1) Sounds good. If there's no swirls to remove, there's no need to use a swirl remover.

2) This is optional, but I'd probably just use Nano with a finishing pad and proceed to the next step from there. I prefer to use finishing polishes with softer finishing pads.

3) I'd recommend picking up an extra pad. You CAN do the whole car, but chances are, around halfway through it will become saturated and lose its effectiveness. You can clean the same pad halfway through and continue using it, though.

4) IPA is optional, but I always use it. Then again, you don't have any swirls to begin with, so IPA would be kinda pointless.

Good luck!

1.) Skip SIP if the paint is in great shape.
2.) Nano & Finishing Pad will clean up any existing paint protection, do a nice deep paint cleaning, and will bring up the best gloss.
3.) Yes, you just have to clean the pad every once in a while. I don't know what size pads you are using, but when I polish with 5.5" pads, I use a new pad for every panel. I highly recommend that you pickup at least two or three more pads so that at least you can polish a couple of panels before having to clean out the pads to re-use them.
4.) IPA is not required and I personally hate doing it.

dublife, I used to wash after claying but not anymore. I just do a waterless wash after I'm done claying and that seems to be just fine.

Try the 106 with a white pad first, than go back back over it with a finishing pad and 106. You should definitely do an IPA wipedown after each step, this gives you a true reading of the finish and polish will fill. I would also have several of each pad on hand. If the 106 and white pad does not work move to the sip and white pad and proceed with the above steps. Let us know how do.
