Fix for scratches on MMI screen?

Any suggestions on how to fix some scratches on an A4 MMI screen. Read somewhere that meguires plastx cleaner may do the trick, just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Is it a nav or lcd unit? Do you know if it has a special coating? Because if it does, I wouldn't touch it.

I'm almost positive it's coated...I honestly haven't looked closely at mine to confirm, but I'd be very surprised if it's not. This is tricky business - you have a stronger chance of making things worse than making them better. Any chance you can post some pics of the damage?

here are some pictures of the screen...scratches are along the bottom half from having a pair of sunglasses resting there.
