FK425 comparison

FK425 is describes as a quick detailer.

I realize I can use products in any way I choose, but...

...can FK425 be used like Optimum Car Wax, D156, DG Aquawax and get similar results like beading and similar longevity?

I use it as a QD, that is after a wash and dry to brighten up my LSP. I find it very perishable and don't get much durability out of it. I do weekly washes and it's pretty much gone by the weekend. I should mention my conditions. Daily driven black car, garaged at night but in FL sun most of the day.

FK425 is a quick detailer and nothing more. For its intended purpose it works better than anything else I've ever used. Longevity is not on the list of intentions so the answer is no.

As others have said Fk425 is more of a QD than a spray wax. The good thing is that it can be used on all paint and glass. I use it all the time to clean my bathroom mirrors.

It's one of my favorite QDs.

Hi Bill...

IMO:

First:
-Unlike Meg's D156, FK#425, and DG#951;
-and, although some people will use OCW in
the same manner as the aforementioned three
products...(AFAIC: an unneeded expense);

-Optimum Car Wax belongs in the: Spray Waxes
(that actually contain Carnauba Wax) category.


Secondly:
•From my experiences with all of these products...
I see no reason that FK#425 can not be used for/in
every detailing scenario as are #D156 and #951:

-Their composition? Mostly water.
-They're all water soluble.
-They all leave "something" behind...
(except for Carnauba Wax).

That answers most of my questions/concerns.

I was not aware that OCW had carnauba in it. I assumed it was a synthetic like Aquaqax and D156.

What is AFAIC? Never seen that one before.
