Flex 3401 Detailing Class - Extreme Makeover - 1939 Chevy

This old streetrod, a 1939 Chevy 5-window coupe has been neglected for years, maybe decades.

The paint truly looked like it was in category #12 of the list of "Paint Condition Categories" in my how-to book.

We used the Flex 3401 Forced Rotation, Forced Oscillation with Lake Country Hybrid Foam Cutting and Finishing pads with Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover and Advanced Finishing Polish and then sealed the paint by machine using Dodo Juice
Hard Candy Carnauba Wax.

To mechanically decontaminate we used Nanoskin Autoscrub Towels and Wash Mitts with Detailer's Universal Clay Lube as this car felt like rough sandpaper to the touch.

That's a heck of a lot of help! How long did it take that crew to knock it out once the work began?

We average around 2 hours from start to finish for any of our tool specific classes. Sometimes this includes washing if it's a rinseless wash or a waterless wash.

If you look at the pictures from past classes the one thing you'll see in common is that I bring in large and even HUGE cars so there's plenty of room for everyone to get lots of hand-on time behind each tool.

Sometimes I have two cars, for example at the last class to go over the Porter Cable style tools, (Porter Cable, Meguiar's and Griot's DA Polishers), I brought in two Corvettes.
