My flex 3401 arrived today. Hallelujah! quicker correction times are here. Now just to choose some pads. I had been using LC Yellow/Orange/White on my PC7424. Any suggestions for the Flex?

:iagree:

Blue hybrid pads are awesome on the 3401.

You have to buy the changeable backing plate system to use them though, right?

The Pads you have are fine. I would stick to the Orange Pad and White. I have never used Yellow as IMO the Orange can do everything with the right compound.

Now regarding the Hybrid pads....those are winners too. But if you need to work ASAP the Orange and White should Suffice. If you get the 5" Hybrid pads you will need to get a different backing plate. The Lake Country Plates system.

5.5 and 6.5 inch pads are ok with the current standard backing plate.

I would suggest some finishing pads (LC Black, B&S blue).

Meg's MF cutting pads are a perfect match for the flex. They blow right through medium/heavy swirls and leave behind very little hazing on dark paint and finish out LSP ready on lighter colors once you master your technique.

I just ordered my flex last night with the sale. After using it in Kentucky with the team and seeing first hand how it worked I had to do it. I did the backing plate kit with the 5 inch orange and white hybrid pads. I already have a ton of 6 inch css and megs mf pads so I think all around I should be well equipped with the 3401 and my griots polisher.

I just ordered mine today, im super excited. Also ordered my FG400 to go with it!

Can't wait!

That combo Flex and Menz FG400 are incredible! You will be absolutely amazed how fast FG400 will correct! That is all I use for correcting. As for Polishing Might I suggest SF4500. That is incredible too.

I have the sip and the sf4000 I believe.

Can the hybrid pads be used on the 4 3/8" Flex backing plate or do I have to go to the backing plate system with the 4" backing plate?

Need the LC system. The 4 3/8 backing plate will chew up the pad because of the 4" Velcro backing on the pad.

Just when I thought I had everything I needed I find something else to buy. Okay AG hurry up and run another sale!

If you go over to the Autopia side of PBMG, they're running the same sale.
