So I’ve been looking at tower lights for a while to use when coating and when I wash in evening and it gets darker out. With me going cordless on polishers figured why not.
I have no brand loyalty and not a lot of batteries from anyone company.
It came down to this a the Ego as the Flex got better head to head reviews compared to the comparable Milwaukee and the Ego was brighter and reviewed better than the more expensive one.
The Ego had 10000 lumen which while nice would have been a lot more. The light was $130 (cheapest I could find). I would need a stand and then would want a 2.5 ah battery to keep it light if I wanted to use as lantern. Total would have been about $300 with stand I liked.
I found the Flex at a very LOW price at a Hone Depot competitor. The tool is normally $249. They had it for $199. Got 10% more off. Right now they are included a 2.5ah battery and charger ($129 cheapest I found eBay $73) for free so $179 for whole kit was a done deal.
The flex although only 4000 lumen was plenty bright. The tri pod is awesome and love how it collapses and I can put entire product on shelf. It raises to 7 feet. Light can be pulled off to use as lantern and tri pod has standard screw in to mount things like camera’s or levels.
Uses Flex’s24V batteries (won’t use my 18v polisher batteries). Has a USB-C connector to charge phones.
Head swivels 360 degrees, up and down. 5 year need to end warranty
Easy to set up with touch of a button. Really liking it.
