I am a amateur and about to buy the Meq/Flex Ultimate Polish Kit. From what most are saying they like the flat pads and wondered why AG has not offered a kit w/ the flat pads. In my order right now i will be getting 3 orange, 3 white, 3 grey, 3 red and 2 blue all of which are the 6.5" LC CCS pads, and 1 Red Cobra Cross Groove. For someone like me just getting started which would you recommend? Thanks. I will be using the Meq 105/205, Menzerna paint sealant, #476 Coll and DP Max Wax. On 2 white Ford f350 crew cab duallies 1 redford f150 extended cab. 2004 acura tl grey metallic and 1 dark blue mustang 1993. Thanks again.

I'd drop the all the reds for additional Orange/White. You can't go wrong with more cutting/polishing pads. Changing pads every panel, while probably not needed, is a very nice luxury to have. :xyxthumbs: Myself and many, many others use blue pads for applying LSP, which is really all the red pads are good for. Buy yourself some of the foam wax applicators (6 pack is on BOGO right now!) for the paste, use the blues for sealant.

You're just starting out, go ahead with the kit with CCS pads, buy a few flats and see what you like the feel of more. They both work well, it's just personal preference.

Enjoy the Flex. :dblthumb2:

All the Reds are "Free Bonus" even the Cobra Red Cross Groove. The Flex/Meq kit comes with the 3 Orange and 2 Grey. I am purchasing a 6 PK of the LC CCS cause the Flex/Meq kit has CCS. Should I change the 6 PK kit to Flat Pads and what are suggestions on the six, I am kinda limited on money so making this choice is kinda crucial. I am purchasing the GG Pad Cleaner also if this makes the decision easier to fill out the 6PK kit.

Ah ok, my mistake on the reds.

If it were me, I'd try to get the CCS swapped out for flats. Flat pads simply have a better feel while polishing in my opinion. If you can't it's really not that big a deal. Plenty of people use CCS to great effect. As far as selection, 2 Orange/4 White would be my choice. Balance is a good thing and you'll end up cleaning pads during the process anyway.

Seems like a lot, but eventually I'd be shooting for enough to change pads on every panel. Then again I absolutely hate stopping to clean pads.

I talked to Bobby in tech and he said they can not do that, but he said also to wait awhile and they may make a kit with flats. How about those SurBuf pads? The description sounds real nice Surbuf R Series 6.5 Inch Buffing Pads 2 Pack, surbuf pads, polishing pads

Maybe get 6 of them along with what comes along with the rest of order above. I can do a rookie side by side demo on one of my trucks with the FLEX!! I have the AutoGeek BUG and it is driving me crazy.
