found the forum/site from the junkman videos on youtube.

new to detailing since picking up my black CTS-V after driving hoopties most of my life.

looking to learn how to maintain the paint and keep the shine. since it is black, every little blemish shows

already started using a 2 bucket system with grit guards to wash

the problem is there are swirls and scratches from the previous owner taking it to a car wash which i plan to remove over time panel by panel then eventually try out the opticoat to finish so i dont have to worry as much about it since it is a daily driver.

I too have a black CTS-V. If its black raven, it shows EVERYTHING. Looks great when its clean though. The fun part is keeping it that way! Enjoy the car!

yep ive seen that. i wouldnt mind throwing one if their crate motors into mine once i have more discretionary income but thats a long way off

yep every minor scratch shows up which i plan to keep at bay with the opticoat after i process it with m105/205.
