So I received my AG foam cannon this past week and today took it for a test drive. I filled the container with water plus 2 ounces of the DP xtreme foam wash sample that came with it. It's hooked to a Karcher K series pressure washer. The foam was barely noticeable. Certainly nothing like the thick snow-like coatings I've seen in the videos. About the same if not less foam than what I produce using my foam gun. I tried adjusting the screw on top of the container but it didn't make any difference. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

What's the GPM and PSI of your karcher?

Is there adequate water feed from you'd faucet? Make sure there are no restrictions in the "plumbing" to the pressure washer, like quick disconnects with the water stop governor in the center or small ported hose splitters at the faucet tap.

How hard is your water?

On my MTM Hydro cannon nothing but full open on the aerator knob at the top gives me good foam.

2oz should be enough to see a significant difference from a foam gun.

Same here. They even sent me a replacement but still barely any foam. I even called to get technical support but they just said it was a problem on my end, I left a voicemail for Nick but he's been busy at show. That's fine though I'm in no rush. I also see no changes when turning the knob, only when turned completely do I see that the water is dispensing some soap.

I have the Sun Joe 2030psi 1.76gpm, one of the strongest electric pressure washers mentioned. Way stronger than some of the ones I see here and YouTube yet they get plenty of thick clinging foam.

I did use probably 5 oz of Optimum Car Wash just because I was fed up and tested that, I then saw some foam, but still very runny. Huge let down so far :(

Do you have a coating on your car? I have CQUK and foam just sheets right off it. I've tried several snow foam products with MTM hydro canon and nothing sticks ..which is a good thing but sort of defeats the benefits of using foam because the foam isn't on there long enough to be of much benefit.

I've never used DP Extreme, but with other products I measure 2-3 inches of soap then fill the rest with water. It's not the pressure washer --- you've got the best. Using 3/4" hose? No restrictions on pressure or flow anywhere?

I hate DP Extreme Foam in my cannon. My results have been similar to yours. The same dilution of DG902 makes significantly more and thicker foam.

Try Lusso Auto Bathe in your cannon. Don't use more than you mean to :)

I use the torq cannon from chemical guys works good, I think a good trick to get good foam is to use hot or very warm water in the foam container,... Seems to make little better foam for me ?

We do have relatively hard water. I have a whole host of Blackfire products on my car but no coating. I am going to try the different soaps recommended. I also have some deionizing cartridges that I can hook up to our hose. I haven't used them for a while because they are kind of a hassle. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Have we determined it's not a water flow issue? I'd recommend 3/4" hose with no quick connect couplings. Those cheap Gilmour type quick connect couplings kill your water flow. Just compare the hose diameter to the coupling diameter and you will see what I mean. There are expensive quik connects that don't constrict water flow. Those $10 ones I'd throw away or use them for non car washing applications.

Just something to try, and I've found this true with the MTM foam cannon (not AG) - so I don't know if it's the same. For me, if the brass part where the bottle connects is too tight to the piece above it (not bottle threads) - I get poor foam. If it's just right before hand snug, it makes all the difference.

I'm not sure if it brings air in there or something gets squished inside if it's too tight. But, I discovered this when I took mine apart to clean the screen , put it back together, and torqued it down pretty tight - little to no foam. It wasn't tight when I received it, so I assume it's supposed to be kept that way.

I also have a K series. Another thing to look at is the adapter. There is a tube and O-ring inside of it that can get displaced quite easily. The K series adapter looks like an empty hollow tube - but it's not.

There is a You Tube video of a guy showing you how to make sure the adapter is put together correct for the K Series. Usually it will leak all over if the adapter isn't internally assembled correctly, but maybe something has changed. I've posted the You Tube Video in past threads - it's a UK guy in the video.

Another thing to look at is the suction tube. Make sure it's pushed up tight all the way.

Can you show exactly what piece with a pic? I also feel it's not being fed air or something, because it's using the soap, just foamless.

My hose connections are not using the hose connects and my feed tube is also well in place.

I got a new foam cannon too this week. I used it yesterday. I poured the two ounce of DP soap in it hooked it to my Kranzle 1600psi pressure washer. I went to Nortern Tool and bought a trigger and quick connect so I could just swap them back and forth without tools.

It works just like the video, it coated it like crazy. Mine looked just like flyboy's video on the website.

I tried to upload my picture but it keeps saying upload file failed.

you need to use alot more soap. Fill 1/2 way with soap then water. Also you will have to clean it alot I pour degessor in the end that gos to the gun about 15 times to clean the screen. When the screen has soap in it. Will not work if its full of dryed soap.

I can. But remember, I have an MTM cannon, so I'm not 100% sure my experience will apply to you.

It's the vertical threads on the neck where you can see Teflon tape peeking out and a pick pointing - above where the bottle screws in. The Teflon tape was a mistake and is since gone. Those threads can not be super tight for me. A little less than hand snug. In fact, I find when you twist the threads while using the cannon you find a "sweet spot" where you get more foam.

you mean horizontal right? where the pick is pointing, directly above where the bottle connects?
still no call back from Nick, I'll wait for that or call him tomorrow to see if he minds me doing that. thanks

I would try a different soap to see if it is the foam cannon. Also, use warm/hot water and only fill the bottle 3/4 way full. This usually gives me the best results.
